This project involved a professional driveway cleaning for a residential property in Opelika, Alabama during the fall season. In addition to surface cleaning, extra care was taken to remove seasonal debris to ensure a clean, uniform final result.
Before beginning the wash, the driveway was cleared of fallen leaves and loose debris, allowing the cleaning solution to properly contact the concrete surface. We then applied a pre-treatment using sodium hypochlorite, which effectively breaks down and kills organic growth such as algae, mildew, and surface staining commonly found on concrete.
After adequate dwell time, the driveway was professionally pressure washed and thoroughly rinsed, lifting embedded dirt and grime from the surface. Once cleaning was complete, a post-treatment was applied to help neutralize remaining organic growth and slow future regrowth.
To finish the service, the driveway was blown off and rinsed again to remove any remaining leaves or debris, leaving the area clean, uniform, and visually refreshed. While this was a routine driveway cleaning, the before-and-after results were dramatic, demonstrating the value of professional concrete maintenance, especially during the fall when debris buildup is common.
